UID function for reader

Just check the specification that Feitian reader has mentioned UID function, could you please do more explain of this functions?

This is Ben, I am technical support for Feitian card reader product line.

The UID(user ID management) using for license authorisation and firmware upgrade protection.

1. License authorisation: Feitian reader provide user binding function. Here is a user scenario:
The UID can generate by customer through secure seed, and the seed only customer had. and feitian provide API and commands for UID read, customer can read UID and bind with their software/application. Then the licensed reader only can be using for specific software.

2. Protect firmware: Feitian's reader support firmware upgrading. and the firmware was encrypted by UID, the standard reader using default UID to do encryption. customer also can OEM UID to protect their OEM firmware. For example, the company A wants their specific firmware only using by them, cannot be update to standard one. then they can using UID function.
