Contactless virtual reader

Post by kosullivan » Thu Jul 28, 2022 12:34 am

Hi folks,

I have noticed that with the new JCIDE version, there is still a Contact and Contactless virtual reader but I'm having great difficulty working out how to get the contactless reader to work. I have managed it a couple of times but it doesn't seem easily repeatable and both don't work at the same time as they previously used to.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi I saw this, but it doesn't quite behave as expected. The procedure is:
- make sure the Contact reader is disconnected
- switch to the Contactless option as in your screenshot
- connect back to the Contact reader

There never seems to be a situation where the Contactless virtual reader can be used in this release. If this is the intention for future versions it may be best to remove the contactless virtual reader driver to avoid confusion, but it was useful for automated testing to have both available.

Is there a command line or scripted way to switch between the two interfaces?

Thanks
