Re: How to read data on Mifare DESFire EV1 cards

Can R502 SPY work as NFC reader?

I have a R502 SPY smart card reader. And today I tried to make it talk with Google Pay. But it doesn't work. R502 SPY cannot work as NFC reader, am I right? Or need I have to do other things to make it work as NFC reader?

Re: Mifare DESfire card authentication

If you use these algorithms an authentication will be possible.
Be careful with the resulting session key. If you authenticate with a single DES, the session key will also be a single DES.

Does R502 reader work with MIFARE DESFire EV1 8K (D81) Card

If I buy MIFARE DESFire EV1 8K (D81) Card, can I use R502 reader, which I have already bought before, to read and write data on this card? Or I should buy another smart card reader to work with this card?
