Virtual Card Reader User Guide

Post by product » Thu May 21, 2015 9:58 pm

Virtual Card Reader is one of the powerful functions in JCIDE. It can simulate a card/reader based on the PCSC communication protocol in the Windows System, which can be used nearly the same as a real card/reader.

The virtual card reader have supported a UMDF(User Mode Driver Framework) card-reader driver which connects to JCIDE to allow any PC/SC compliant application to send APDU to JCIDE and receive response from JCIDE.

Through JCIDE using virtual card reader, need to configure it first. In JCIDE menu bar, select "Tool->IDE Options->Run/Debug/Configuration", then check "Enable PCSC Interface" option,At this time you can see the name of the virtual card reader by PCSC communication tools.

The names of the virtual card reader are as follows:
1. "JAVACOS Virtual Contact Reader 0" (contact )
2. "JAVACOS Virtual Contactless Reader 1" (contactless)
