Using smartcards to logon to Windows - Use eJavaToken to logon local computer [4/4]
1. Add user account in domain service
Before logon local computer via smart card,create user account in domain service. Then add users belonging to computer into domain.
1> Select "Server Manager -> Roles -> Active Directory Domain Services ->Active Directory Users and Computers -> server.javacardos.com -> User ", right click and select "New ->User ". In popup "New Object –User "type user name to create (e.g. test) and set password.
2> After adding user account successfully, you can view it in the User List. Right click the user account and select "Properties "from the menu to modify permissions and attributes of the user , as figure shows.
2. Use eJavaToken to logon local computer
Add the computer in the domain before using eJavaToken to logon. Take Windows 7 professional for an example.
1> Right click My computer,select "Properties "from the menu and then click "Computer Name "tab,click the button "Change ", "Computer Name/Domain Changes "dialog box pop up, as figure shows:
2> Enter domain name (e.g. server.javacardos.com) in Domain option under "Member of" column,click "OK". Type user name and password in the popup dialog box and restart computer.
Note: If failed to add domain in step 1-2, modify computer DNS and retry, as figure shows.
3> When you enter the login screen again, you will be prompted to insert eJavaToken which has applied for smart card certificate, follow the prompts to insert eJavaToken and enter eJavaToken PIN code to logon to the Windows system, as shown below.
