Sorry for misunderstanding, the reader has two SIM card slot under the reader, you can check attachment photo.

The reader support two SIM + 1 ID-1 contact card + 1 contactless card.

The current is less than 100mA, hope this can help you, any questions, contact us anytime, thanks

Do you mean that contactless can't work is because the support current is not enough?

I have done an interesting test on R502 reader before.

I inserted one contact card in contact card slot and meanwhile put a contactless card on the reader, I started pyApdutool twice to connect the cards separately (one connects the contact card and the other connects the contactless card ). I found that the two interfaces can work and communicate w/o any problem simultaneously.
Searching for meaning...

Yes, the old reader has this issue, this should be a bug, try to imagining if your reader is dual interface reader, the NFC has communication distance from 0-5cm, if insert to contact reader, then the contactless should be also can detect, this is unacceptable. so consider this, we just block contactless when user insert card into contact slot.

On other hand, I think your firmware is old version:
Please check your reader firmware, if your reader firmware is 1.6x, it should be old firmware with old hardware, we don't maintain anymore. The new version had 3.47 firmware with new hardware, check attachment screenshot.

The old firmware cannot update to latest one, since their hardware design is different.

The default current is < 100mA without card insert, the USB can provide enough current for reader, this is not a issue. The issue is consider dual interface card, this is really depends on the user scenario.

Oh, I see. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation.
