OT-Morpho is leveraging its end-to-end digital payment offering: ranging from the PEARL by OT-Morpho embedded Secure Element (eSE) and related payment applications to its comprehensive Digital Enablement Platform for secure tokenization and provisioning services. Relying on OT-Morpho’s digitization solution, Santander’s cardholders are now able to securely enroll and provision tokenized payment cards in any eligible Samsung phone. Santander’s customers will then be able to use their digital cards stored in the Samsung Pay mobile wallet app on any compatible point of sale payment terminal in Spain and beyond, just as they use their contactless card today. The contactless acceptance and infrastructure in Spain is very dynamic with 1.6 million contactless payment terminals and 74.51 million contactless cards already deployed in the field.

Once the Beijing or Shenzhen transport application is installed on their nubia smartphone, end-users will no longer need to go to their transport company counters to buy tickets. They will be able to recharge their digital transport card online directly via their application and will simply need to hold their smartphone near the contactless reader in the bus or the subway to pass the gates. They will also be able to use their phone to pay in retail stores accepting contactless payments, as they are used to doing with their current transport cards. PEARL by OT® will allow them to securely enjoy the convenience of these NFC services.

PEARL by OT® enables handset and wearable device makers to deploy new contactless services certified by key payment schemes worldwide and transport authorities of the largest cities in the world. It has recently been granted MTPS certification for all Mobile Financial Services technologies in China. This unique multi-application platform also supports access control, biometrics, secure storage use-cases and value added services such as keyless car entry.

Through a public-private partnership, Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety has decided to introduce ultra-secure driving licenses and vehicle registration documents in order to improve the quality of service given to its citizens and modernise its vehicle and driver documents while combating fraud. In addition to driving licenses and vehicle registration documents, and in collaboration with local partner Megamonde, OT is supplying the enrolment and personalization system as well as the training that will enable Burkinabé citizens to benefit from the most modern and secure documents in Africa.

Using the Lasink™ solution, OT’s cutting edge technology, the country’s driving license photographs are laser-engraved directly onto a polycarbonate card, which prevents counterfeiting thanks to its unique functionalities. Burkina Faso is therefore able to rapidly issue tamper-proof documents with simple, quick and innovative control methods.

The technologies used by fraudsters are constantly changing and OT continues to re-invent security functions to stay one step ahead of them. Lasink™ is the only colour-photo-on-polycarbonate solution that is easy to authenticate and that remains impossible to forge.
