SAM

Post by mukundis » Wed Sep 21, 2016 4:26 am

Has anyone worked on secure access module(SAM)? My project need SAM for key management. But I know nothing about this field.

Is SAM a kind of javacard? Is there any specification about using SAM? Thanks.

A SAM can be a smart card or another chip like a trusted platform module.

As far as I know, there is no specification about SAM filed.

SAMs are seldom used, so there is little standards about this.

It is worth mentioning that a native smart card is perfectly possible as SAM, especially if Perform Security Operation command of ISO 7816-8 is supported.
